The project proposes a new island cluster within the Thames Estuary, intended to bring new business, employment, recreation, energy creation and habitat enhancement to the south of Essex, with new high speed transport links to Kent. The scheme comprises a cluster of geometric islands, circular in shape to reflect the industrial history of the Thames, where the islands are portrayed as 'cylinders' of land, gently eroding into the waters at the island edges. The design of an island within the Estuary needs a sensitive approach.
